Denver is a distinguished music educator and composer, renowned for his contributions to the field of military bands and music education. Currently serving as the President of the Board of Directors for Military Band International, Denver's journey in music began amidst the Piney Woods of East Texas, where he graduated from Whitehouse High School under the mentorship of Mr. Denny Whitley.

A strong advocate for military bands, Mr. Satterwhite played a pivotal role in transitioning numerous high school bands to the precision style of military performance across Texas, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Kansas, West Virginia, and Georgia. Under his guidance, these bands have achieved remarkable success in both competitive and performance settings.

In 2016, he embarked on his tenure with Dallas ISD, following notable positions as the Director of Bands at Union Hill ISD and as a brass pedagogue and music arranger for Leveretts Chapel ISD. Equipped with a Masters in Music Education from the University of Houston, Denver has imparted his expertise at institutions such as Texas College and Jarvis University.

Denver's compositional talents have garnered recognition, with his debut composition showcased by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Flute in March 2016. He consistently crafts compositions for a diverse array of ensembles, drawing from his tutelage under renowned instructors with 18 original premieres to date spanning flute ensemble, band, military band, and chamber ensembles.

Denver's professional affiliations underscore his commitment to the advancement of music education and composition. He is actively involved with the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Military Band International, National Association of Military Marching Bands, American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, and the Sousa Foundation, embodying his dedication to excellence and innovation in music.
