Piano, Voice, Guitar

Andrew began instruction in piano, voice, and violin at age seven. His first recitals involved performing with ensembles but he was noticed for his remarkable ability to perform solos. By age eleven he was successfully employed as the keyboard player for a church twice a week, while winning vocal and piano competitions at the State Level. Andrew's decision to begin a career as a performing artist involved the individual freedom of expression and passion he developed for the Arts. At six he was actively involved with his community theater. He served as cast member and instrumentalist for various, semi-professional theatrical productions. This experience recently provided him with the knowledge to write his own original musical and co-produce two others.

In High School, Andrew continued to excel as a pianist and vocalist and after four years of All-State singing was invited to join the United States Honor Choir. He was accelerated and began his Freshman year at twelve, but age was not a factor in his selection, nor did it deter him from competing against those much older than himself. He volunteered his time and talent for local organizations and was offered full time employment as a staff pianist for residential communities. His decision to pursue higher education was based upon his musical success as an upper-graduate, and after auditioning for music schools he was accepted into the piano performance department at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.

At Florida State, along with fulfilling all of the demands for his Bachelor's Degree, Andrew was an active member of the Latin Jazz Band - "Salsa Florida", the Italian Ensemble, the Concert Choir, and the Balinese Gamelan. He learned to play the Indian sitar, the harpsichord, the organ, and received professional instruction in composition. Upon graduation, Andrew was awarded a Graduate Assistantship to attend Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia to study piano. His duties involved coaching voice students and accompanying instrumentalists in weekly recitals. For his Graduate Recital Andrew performed Johann Sebesatian Bach, Frederic Chopin, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Charles Griffes. None of this would have been possible without the outstanding instruction from Associate Professors of Piano Leonidas Lipovetsky at Florida State, and Lawrence Scully in Valdosta. Andrew received his Master's Degree in 2008. Later that year Andrew was hired as a part time teacher at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and also adjudicated the GMEA piano competion for the next two consecutive years.

Some of Andrew's most memorable experiences are that he was once the Principal Pianist for the Tallahassee Ballet Theatre, the University of Georgia Ballet, and the Florida State University. Andrew has performed in a New York City summer music series along with cellist, Yo-Yo Ma. He often accompanies and collaborates with Broadway singers and dancers, such as Calvin Orlando Smith who performed in the original production of "Peter Pan", dancer Terence Duncan, has worked with the State Ballet Theatre of Russia in their performance of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake", New York Theatre Ballet teachers Diana Byer and Christina Paolucci-Duncan, performs community events in Georgia with former members from jam bands like Widespread Panic and Nashville recording artist Boo Ray.

Some past concerts include a Steinway Recital in Tifton, GA, others which received excellent reviews in the Moultrie Observer newspaper, and numerous professional vocal and instrumental venues. Andrew also speaks fluent Italian and has connections in the USA and abroad for talented individuals desiring endorsement and performance opportunities in Europe. These opportunities extend beyond music and dance into other fields like modelling, fashion design, and the visual arts.

It is Andrew's goal to make music easy as well as enjoyable to learn. He believes that is possible by becoming educated in other artistic genres because there has been much influence from outside the musical realm in order to make music what it is today. He brings other instruments and devices to lessons that help better facilitate the learning process. By taking that approach he has successfully and quickly helped his students realize musical success without placing much demand upon them. He makes practice fun, and technique interesting. He looks forward to serving you or your family's need as a musical instructor in either piano, guitar or voice, and is also qualified to provide lessons in songwriting, improvisation, theory, and recording.
