Tony Gibson was born into a family of musicians, so music has always been at the center of his life. When he was four years old, his parents got a piano, and he immediately began playing songs by ear. By the time he was seven, he was already playing regularly for audiences at school and church. Tony continued to study classical music all throughout his school years, participating in competitions, and completed his Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance and Composition at Stetson University before going on to earn his Master's degree in music.

Along with his classical studies, Tony began writing music at a young age and has continued to spend time developing his own style and arrangements of popular music, while performing professionally and playing in bands. He also has an extensive background in vocal music, with over 20 years of experience helping vocalists to prepare for performances and recording sessisions. Tony himself has recorded several piano albums that have combined his love for pop music with his classical skills and training. All along the way, he has continued to lead piano and voice students in stage performances through solos, musicals, and student bands.

Tony began teaching music while he was still in college, and for more than 30 years he has enjoyed helping beginner through advanced students develop their abilities and learn to play the music they love with style. Whether classical, pop, gospel, or jazz, Tony loves helping students develop skills in music reading, ear training, and finger strengthening that they can apply to any song.

Lessons are always upbeat and energetic, even incorporating some learning games with younger students and setting goals with prizes and incentives. Tony is a Pop Pop now and is excited about helping his grandkids learn to play. He is still a kid at heart and loves working with students of all ages! Tony’s ultimate desire is for every student to be inspired creatively and to love music more because of his time spent with them, as he helps them master skills that they can use for the rest of their lives.
