Voice, Piano, Trumpet

Joshua Zilberman is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance. He started piano lessons at age 7, and picked up trumpet and singing lessons as he grew up in southwest Florida, studying under several teachers and university professors who each contributed to his growing desire to teach others.

Joshua received scholarships towards a performance degree in trumpet, but changed his major once he discovered his passion for choral directing and accompanying professional show choirs. This led him to pursue church music and choir directing, and he has served as the Director of Music and Arts at Trinity Lutheran Church for several years. He has also been very active in the music scene of downtown Tampa and Ybor city, playing keys and backup vocals with several groups of university musicians. Joshua has sung with The Florida Orchestra at the Straz in downtown Tampa, notably joining them for their performance of the famous Handel's "Messiah."

Joshua was inspired to pursue teaching full-time by his college professor, Charles Wesley Evans. Under Charles's tutelage, Joshua learned that the most important part of teaching is to be there for one's students and to support them in working towards their goals, regardless of the student's level of skill or ability. Since becoming an educator himself, Joshua helps his students by doing the same, taking the learning process step-by-step and moving at the student's pace. This ensures that students feel a continuous sense of accomplishment and are motivated to keep working towards their goals, rather than becoming overwhelmed or discouraged.

Joshua now resides in Atlanta, GA, where he teaches voice, piano, and trumpet lessons to students of all ages and skill levels.
