Javier Schirmer is a dedicated musician teaching private in-home violin and viola lessons in the Atlanta area.

Javier Schirmer began playing the violin under of the tutelage of Dr. Vera Ilyushina when he was 18 years old. Since then, he has competed in the Kennesaw State University Young Artists Competition, the Atlanta Music Club scholarship competition, and has soloed with the Pope High School Philharmonic Orchestra after winning the school concerto competition. He has been invited to perform at several recitals around the Atlanta area, including a gala with the Pro Mozart Society of Atlanta and the Atlanta Music Club young artist recitals.

He has also performed internationally in Cambodia, Spain, France, Germany, The UK, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy and Singapore.

Aside from his performing activities, he has maintained a private music studio that teaches using a wide variety of methods including the Russian School of violin playing, El Sistema teaching method (Venezuela), The Royal Academy method (Canada) and Suzuki violin teaching method. He also interns with the Georgia Youth Symphony orchestra, highlighting his commitment to the next generation of musicians.

Currently, Mr. Schirmer graduated from Kennesaw State University's Bailey School of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and studied under Mr. Kenn Wagner. He is an active freelance musician in the Atlanta Community.

Mr. Schirmer is fluent in Spanish, and has reading knowledge of French and Portuguese. He enjoys reading, exercising, writing, and cooking in his spare time.
