Benjie Bess is a graduate of Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He is an aurally and classically trained pianist, trumpeter and multi-instrumentalist, who has received many awards and recognitions.
Growing up in a musical environment, he started performing at the age of 10 and has a passion for playing and teaching all genres. While at JSU he was afforded the opportunity to play alongside some of the modern jazz greats of our time including Wycliffe Gordon, Jeff "Tain" Watts and Joe Scannella.
He loves working with students of all ages and has a great passion for music. Benjie's goal for each student is to have them feeling and loving every note they are playing and to leave each lesson with the confidence that together we will conquer the piece one measure at a time.
