Cedric Huddleston developed a passion for music as a toddler, playing the drums at the age of 3 and transitioning to playing piano at the age of 6. Cedric developed his ear for music in church shadowing the Musical Director at his church and learned the foundation of music theory after enrolling in formal lessons.
Cedric soon learned to play by ear. That natural skillset, combined with developing his technique allowed him to play his own rendition of the National Anthem during his first recital at age 7. At age 11, Cedric was invited to play with the church band where he learned and mastered the Nashville Number System.
Cedric also played both drums and piano in jazz and marching band in middle school. By age 15, Cedric had moved to metro-Atlanta and decided to focus solely on piano. There, he was invited to be the Musical Director at God First Breakthrough Ministries, where he first began to sing, teach other vocalists, and arrange live performances.
Cedric earned a bachelor’s degree of Science in Educational Psychology in 2009 which aided his teaching ability further as he continued serving in church as well as beginning to offer lessons as a private instructor. Since then, it has been his passion to share his joy for music and learning with others, particularly piano and singing.
His musical journey has allowed him to produce several records, score 2 movies, as well as co-founding a gospel choir at Georgia State University during his undergraduate years. He also has had the pleasure of crossing paths and working alongside many well-known artists, singers, and songwriters.
His experience as a teacher since 2008 affords him the gift to connect with almost any musician or musical enthusiast. Cedric teaches the art and discipline of music, marrying them in a way that often brings out the best in his students as they strive to master the instrument within their self-expression.
